WHY WE LOVE IT

We all know the Daytona story — that of a model that has proven to be an all-time favorite amongst collectors.

Why? Rolex's brilliant motorsports chronograph is in pole position in any category, vintage or modern. And while current automatic versions admittedly don't do as much for us as a nice hand-cranking example, a Daytona is a Daytona, and that’s just fine with us.

But this is no run of the mill modern Daytona... This particular watch, a Reference 116509, dates to circa 2000 and features a 40mm 18k white gold Oyster case, a sapphire crystal, a striking and stunning factory pave diamond encrusted dail with applied Arabic indices and a matching handset, and a matching 18k white gold Oyster bracelet with Rolex's excellent Fliplock clasp with Easylink.

The Daytona, in all its various guises, has long been a favorite of collectors the world over, and it's easy to see why in the case of this contemporary piece!

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in fantastic condition overall showing signs revent professional refinishing and faint wear from gentle handling. Factory pave diamond encrusted dial with applied 'Arabic' indices and silver subsidiary registers is in as-new condition with matching handset. Signed Crown.
