WHY WE LOVE IT

The Rolex Day-Date "President' is arguably the most important dress watch in history.

Worn as an accessory with a fine bespoke suit or with jeans and a t-shirt, a solid gold Rolex might just change the way you think about precious metal wristwatches. This particular piece, a Reference 1803 dates to circa 1963 and is finished in solid 18k yellow gold and features an excellent glossy black dial with applied baton and doorstop indices with a matching oblisque handset, a magnified acrylic crystal, a fluted yellow gold bezel, and a matching 18k yellow gold President bracelet with an early signed blade clasp.

Yellow gold Day-Dates fitted with black dials are not as common as you might think, making this example with its slightly more interesting dial a real gem.

When only a gold Rolex will do, this Day-Date is an excellent choice!

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition throughout showing signs of light previous polishing and normal wear consistent with age and use. Matte black Tritium dial with applied 'baton' indices is in equally excellent condition with matching handset. English Day wheel. Signed crown.
