“From London to LV, via NY”
Both, Speake-Marin and Watches of Switzerland have British roots. For Speake-Marin, this is expressed in the product codes, the Piccadilly case, the Big Ben Hands of the Dual Time watches.
The two WOS editions are inspired by global travelers and the partnership between Speake-Marin and Watches of Switzerland. We currently work together in London, New York, and Las Vegas. As these three cities are not in the same time zone, the logical decision was to go for a dual time.
Blue dial.
The blue dial is a natural color to go for. In fact, water has influenced the journey of people throughout the years and especially the people of London and New York.
The Thames was essential for the city of London to be built on its shores as was the Hudson River for New York. The transatlantic route from London to New York crossing the Atlantic is one of the most epic journeys still today.
The large satin Finish of the dial is an interpretation of waves and light reflection on water.
The final rendering is also truly giving a modern and sporty look to the watch.
The case.
The Piccadilly case is the name of the historic case used since the Speake-Marin creation in 2002.
The design is inspired by the famous Piccadilly Square in London.
The hands.
The heart shaped hands of Speake-Marin are directly inspired by the big ben tower clock hands.
These products codes have always been part of the British DNA of Speake-Marin and will also be in the future.
