WHY WE LOVE IT
One name: Gerald Genta. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is perhaps Genta's most memorable work, and in many ways changed the shape of the watch industry. The Royal Oak essentially created an entirely new category of 'luxury sport' timepieces, and with it came a new design language which inspired countless other manufactures. What's particularly delightful about the design of the Royal Oak is that it works brilliantly in a number of sizes and casing materials, from steel to carbon fiber or solid gold. This particular model, a Reference 14790ST from the late 2000s, features a 36mm stainless steel construction, a signed crown, a stunning luminous grey micro-tapisserie dial with applied indices and a matching handset, and AP's famed integrated steel bracelet with a signed hidden deployant clasp. Powered by Audemars Piguet's Calibre 2325 automatic-winding movement, it remains in excellent condition and is accompanied by a serialized shipping box and a care card. Try it on the wrist once, and you'll have a tough time taking it off. Don't say we didn't warn you!
OVERALL CONDITION The case and bracelet are in excellent condition throughout showing light signs of wear consistent with age and use. Luminous grey 'micro-tapisserise' dial with applied indices is in outstanding condition with matching handset. Signed crown.
