It is perhaps one of the greatest injustices in horology that women's wristwatches have not historically received the same respect as their larger cased counterparts, resulting in far fewer executions worth collecting.

This is truly a shame - but fortunately, Rolex got the memo long before most, and have been producing outstanding ladies watches for over 50 years. And we're talking about the real thing - not those that utilize faux-gold, not-so-precious stones and batteries - Rolex's offerings are mechanical, functional, wearable art.

The top of the line for Rolex's more elegant offerings in the early aughts was their Masterpiece Collection. Part horology, part jewelry, all high-concept design, the Masterpiece Collection was where Rolex flexed their artistic muscles, elevating their standard timepieces into the realm of something truly special.

This particular piece, a ladies-sized Pearlmaster 29 dates to circa 2007-2008 and is one of the most exquisite Masterpiece models we've yet to come across! Featuring a solid 18K yellow gold Oyster case, a gold bezel with factory diamonds, a diamond-set "Mother Of Pearl" dial and a solid link 18K yellow gold Pearlmaster bracelet with diamond set links and connectors, this piece isn't for the faint of heart.

With 166 stones in total, this piece is nothing short of breathtaking.
