WHY WE LOVE IT
In our opinion, there are few things cooler than a two-tone Rolex GMT-Master!
We're continually on the lookout for these special watches as they combine the outstanding functionality of a Rolex GMT-Master with unmatched looks and tremendous value. They also came in a number of different subtle variations with different dial and bezel configurations, precious metal weights, and bracelet options.
This particular example, a Reference 1675 'Root Beer', dates to circa 1971 and features a 39mm Oyster case with holey lugs, a beautiful matte brown 'gilt' nipple dial with a matching handset, a bi-directional 24hr GMT bezel with a 'ghosted' brown insert, and a matching two-tone Oyster bracelet with a signed blade clasp.
While admittedly not for everyone, there is something about a two-tone GMT-Master that, to us, just works. Be it the versatility, or the relative value next to its full-gold and full-steel counterparts, two-tone offers a compelling value proposition for the GMT-Master line.
This one's just got a little more fizz.
OVERALL CONDITION

Matte brown Tritium 'gilt' dial with applied 'nipple' indices is in fantastic condition with matching handset. Signed crown. Brown bezel insert shows even 'ghosting' fade.
