Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant

Liverpool Watches in the UK is the place to buy Frederique Constant watches. The Swiss brand has a rich history that dates back to 1904 when the founders, Constant Stas and Frederik Schreiner, started a small watchmaking firm with their names. Initially, the company specialized in creating classic, affordable watches.

In 1988, Peter Stas, the heir to one of the founders, and his wife Aletta Bax, relaunched the brand. They focused on fundamental principles such as impeccable quality, classic design, and luxury. The couple modernized the business, invited a team of professionals, and set a course for manufacture. In 1992, the brand launched its first collection of watches called Classics, which consisted of six models based on Swiss calibers with guilloché dials and Arabic numerals. The watches caught the attention of investors from Japan, who bought 350 pieces in the first few days and placed an order for 2000 pieces the following year. In 1994, Frederique Constant introduced the first watch from the Heart Beat collection, which later became the brand's signature product.

In 1995, the company presented its products at the Basel Watch Fair, where it had a resounding success. In 2004, the company developed the Heart Beat FC-910, the first manufacture caliber with a balance wheel of increased diameter, which was developed in collaboration with the best watchmakers in Switzerland. In 2008, Frederique Constant introduced the first manufacture tourbillon, the production of which allowed the brand to enter the circle of elite watchmakers in Switzerland.

Interesting facts about Frederique Constant watches include the fact that the company's production facilities with a total area of 3200 square meters are located near Plan-les-Ouates, where other giants of the watch business such as Harry Winston, De Grisogono, Patek Phillippe, and others are located. The watches' cases are made of hypoallergenic stainless steel, titanium, silver, platinum, and gold. "Live your passion" is the slogan that expresses the brand's philosophy.

In 2010, the company presented the limited Frederique Constant F. Chopin 2010 line. The collection, which was released in a limited edition of 1810 pieces, was dedicated to the composer's anniversary. The watches were offered in steel and gold cases. The number 2010 symbolized the anniversary year, and the collection's edition represented the composer's birth year. All models were equipped with the automatic FC 303 caliber and had a distinctly classical design. The dial featured a pattern resembling piano keys. Each watch came with a unique case shaped like a Chopin piano.

One cannot ignore the exclusive Runabout Venice Edition watches, which were released in a limited edition of 1888 pieces. The creation of the collection was dedicated to an event honoring Roundabout boats. The watches were sold in a handmade case that included a miniature model of the Runabout boat.

Frederique Constant uses advanced technologies to combat replicas. Special invisible marks that can only be seen under ultraviolet light are applied to the company's original products for protection. Additionally, the company engraves its mechanisms with proprietary stamps. Such a protection system allows for the origin of the watches to be determined almost 100%.
