DETAILS

The case is in very good condition overall showing normal wear consistent with age and use. Luminous black gloss 'gilt' dial is in excellent condition with puffy patinated indices and matching handset. 'Fat font long five’ bezel insert. Signed crown.

Includes stainless steel Rivet Oyster bracelet dated 7-72.

WHY WE LOVE IT

From a purist's perspective, no-date Submariners are the ones to own.

Produced from 1962 until 1989, the Reference 5513 is one of the longest-running Rolex models ever produced. Following on the heels of the 5512, the 5513 was the second version of the Sub to feature crown guards, and saw numerous modifications and improvements over its life cycle.

Featuring a rare and stunning glossy gilt dial, this early 5513 dates to circa 1967 and exhibits a patina worthy of world class Rolex collections. With a strong case devoid of the all-too-common signs of excessive polishing, early signed crown, a gorgeous 'fat font' bezel insert, and a slightly later stretch rivet Oyster bracelet with big logo clasp, this 5513 has all the right stuff - perfect for daily wear.

A Reference 5513 is arguably the cleanest variant of the Submariner line - an icon of icons, and no collection should be without one!
