WHY WE LOVE IT

As a successor to the iconic Reference 1680, the 16610 embodies the spirit of the original Submariner Date with function-first design and legendary build quality. Early 16610 models utilized Tritium luminous material, while later references moved to Luminova, making it a truly significant transitional piece. The 16610 is also the last reference Submariner Date to use the classically proportioned tapered 39mm Oyster case. This particular N-Serial example dates to circa 1991 and is quite simply, in outstanding virtually, unworn condition. It features a perfect holey lug Oyster case, a mint condition Tritium dial, showing an even, creamy patina with a matching handset, and a matching Oyster bracelet with divers extension. Furthermore, this piece retails its factory caseback sticker and is accompanied by its box, books, hangtags, and punched papers. All in all, an outstanding package worth of any collection!

OVERALL CONDITION The case is in outstanding condition overall showing only faint wear from gentle handling. Gloss black Tritium dial is in excellent condition, with a deep even patina to the Tritium elements with matching handset. Signed crown.
