WHY WE LOVE IT

The GMT-Master Reference 1675 is a genre-defining timepiece.

The second generation of the dual timezone wristwatch from Rolex, the 1675 was introduced in 1960 and saw nearly two decades of continuous production, resulting in a myriad of dial and case variations that have become one of the most exciting sub-genres of vintage Rolex collecting.

The 1675 carries-over the ubiquitous 24hr blue and red 'Pepsi' bezel insert from its predecessor and adds a black option - but upgrades to aluminum from bakelite and grows to 39mm with added crown guards.

This particular example dates to circa 1968, and features a strong, professionally refurbished case housing a matte black MK1 Tritium dial with matching handset, a magnified acrylic crystal, a bidirectional rotating 24hr bezel with a faded black insert, and a folded-link Oyster bracelet with a signed blade clasp.

Be warned - trying on a 1675 on will undoubtedly ruin you for the modern iterations!

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition overall showing signs of professional refurbishing and normal wear from age and use. Matte black Tritium 'MK1' dial is in fantastic condition showing deep even patination to luminous elements with professionally color-matched handset. Signed crown. Later bezel insert shows 'charcoal' fading.
