WHY WE LOVE IT
–
In 1968, Patek Philippe released the Golden Ellipse.
Debuting eight years before the iconic Nautilus, the Ellipse—with its distinctive oval shape—was unlike anything else in Patek Philippe’s catalogs.
This example, a Reference 3586 , features a 32.5mm solid 18k white gold case with an absolutely stunning integrated 18k white gold mesh bracelet with a signed safety clasp, a sunburst silver dial with applied indices and a matching pencil handset, and a hand-cranking movement inside.
Watches such as this one are fun and wonderful timepieces, and there's no telling if and when one of these in any condition will surface again, so don't wait!
OVERALL CONDITION
The case is in outstanding condition overall showing light signs of wear from age and use. Sunburst silver dial with applied indices is in excellent condition showing virtually no degradation on edges with matching ‘pencil’ handset. Signed crown.
