WHY WE LOVE IT
A design-conscious dive watch that’s still built around utility-first principles? Count us in.
This was the mantra boutique Malaysian watch brand Ming adhered to in designing its second-gen diver, the 18.01 H41. (In fact, it’s called “H41” because the finished product is based upon the 41st design study — talk about iteration!) Ming successfully combined its famous, minimalist philosophy with a highly legible dial in order to bring forth a timepiece that wasn’t just for the professional diver or the design geek, but for both.
This particular 18.01 H41 features a 40mm titanium case, a signed crown, a luminous, DLC-coated steel unidirectional dive bezel, a DLC-coated and engraved case back, a sapphire crystal, a satin black dial with a stepped, luminous outer minute track and matching handset, and a solid titanium, multi-link bracelet with a signed, hidden deployant clasp. Powered by the ETA Cal. 2824-2, it’s in outstanding condition and includes much of its ephemera.
Funky-looking, unique, stealthy, automatic — this is a diver that checks all the right boxes.
